i started reading the novel while at the subway train and now i am getting drawn inside the novels within italo calvino’s novel if on a winter’s night a traveler. it is interesting how calvino’s style can pull you into the text despite that strong sensation to stop and pause your reading because the sudden change of pace, the sudden intervention of the omnipotent voice, the sudden change of scenario and the sudden change of stories. at first it might appear hard to follow but just let your eyes follow the text and you will eventually get the drift.
