memorial day on that concrete jungle city

if the wind and the fates will be on our side, i might just get lucky and be on my way off to new york with my friend brenda on the last week of may for the memorial holiday. she promised me a new york trip long time ago as an early birthday treat. if work sched permits, and if brenda will win more moolah at the casinos over the next couple of days, we will sure be off to that concrete jungle where dreams are made of.

aside from touring the major tourist destinations of the city, what makes me all giddy and excited is the opportunity to see the major entertainment centers that houses huge concerts and events.

as soon as we get to the place, i will urge brenda to buy me prudential center tickets, citifield tickets and madison square garden tickets just to get a taste of the big time entertainment those places have to offer.

the prudential center in new jersey will have pearl jam (but i won’t be able to see them there since it’s happening today) on stage. but i am pretty sure that i will be able to catch some other live performances in the venue. i am seeing black eyed peas on the line-up.

though i am not much of a sports enthusiast, i still wanted to see the new york mets live at the citifield. i know brenda hearts those players all sweaty and running for the goal.

i heard the dalai lama will be going to do a talk in madison square garden. i wanted to meet and greet and take a photo of the legendary dalai lama on the flesh. and oh, the cast of glee will also perform there on the 28th to the 30th. better tell brenda to secure ourselves some tickets if she can. i have to satisfy the inner gleek in me.

the fates should be in favor of brenda. come on brenda, let’s do this! new york here we come!
