the irony of doing a practicum manuscript is the fact that it is much easier than all other academic paper requirements that drains not just your creative juices, but every drop of pride and wit in your system.
days passed like the fast flipping empty pages of my supposed-to-be manuscript. the nearly tangible graduation dream is slowly melting back to its dream form. i just had a dreamy day.

i thought i heard my father speak gibberish after eating a couple of fried fish. i was busy organizing my thoughts when words like migration, palawan trip and law school emerged from the pool of verbal chaos.

my father insisted that i go to law school immediately after graduation. yes, i still have the i wanna be a lawyer someday dream, but it is not sufficient reason enough for me to pursue law after graduation. i am not ready. in the first place, i still have qualms of whether i should graduate on time or not; and now law school? come on. my father must not have realized the weight of studying law. my plan is to rest for a month and then work in an events company or ad agency then invest enough money for my future plans.

migration? i thought i just erased that from my dictionary? darn.
why, the word just made a comeback!

Sometimes I wish our parents wouldn't act so parent-y.

Okay that was a dumb thing to say, but I know you get me.

Its like, face it... we're grown-ups now. We have the free will to finally decide what we want to do with our lives after graduation. Can't they just give us that? Jeez.

I mean, here you are feeling so pressured about deciding on what you really want to do now you're (or will be) out of school and here they come marching in your room telling you what you should do, not suggesting but telling you.

Maybe I should've said "We're totally in the same situation right now" instead.

My parents didn't dictate me on what life I should have on the next few years. They never interfered because they know I have a far more different direction to take and to make.

But on second thought, I wish they advised me. Not because I don't like what I'm doing right now because of my previous decisions, but because of the fright of what I will be in the near future.

Geez...

law school not bad actually. yun nga lang i think you should be telling your plans to your parents too. you're already old enough to decide and graduation is near, it's really up to you now and your parents will support you whatever your choices

the decision is yours. its u whose going to take the course and its you whose going to deal with it for the next coming years. so better be prepared and really decided on which way you are going.. God bless you on you way to reach your goal.

take care.

if you want to be a lawyer, pursue that dream of yours pero kung hindi ka pa ready, wag ka munang pumasok sa isang law school... mas maganda kung ready ka and your heart is really in it...

haay... graduation...

Waw, law. Goodluck! Yeap, mas maganda kung yun talaga yung gusto mo, at alam mong mag-eenjoy ka dun.
