lost

saw the first episode of the second season of lost last night. one of the recurring themes highlighted was hope.

at the hospital scene jack's dad said something about false hopes, and even though they're false hopes, sometimes they work simply because it is still a form of hope.

sometimes even false hopes work.

but false hopes paired with expectations that were never met spells a lot of things- disappointment? sadness? betrayal? self-pity? i really dunno what but false hopes paired with something else usually turns into something. hopefully that something entails goodness and uhm, hope.
