minerals for the heart

“we are all victims of health lies. these lies, held with an almost religious zealotry, are quite literally killing us.”

a while ago i learned that the lack or imbalance of certain minerals from the body can explain the patterns of human behavior and emotional fluctuations. the guy from the radio talk show said that aside from treating diabetes, obesity, heartburns, hypothyroidism, ged (gastro-esophageal reflux disease) and other body illnesses, minerals and elements like iron, calcium, aluminum, carbon and copper can help condition our emotions and behavior.

for instance, kids diagnosed with adhd (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) can be conditioned by giving them the right foods to counter the imbalance of minerals in their body.

so that explains why some food makes us happy and sad.

so can love and our emotions can also be conditioned by certain amount of minerals? if that is the case, could it be possible that the gayuma (local love potion) can actually work if it contains the right amount of minerals and chemical elements that can induce the feeling of love?

**do check out calciumlie.com. the guest speaker of the radio talk show comes from that website.

uhmm... i don't know about minerals but i know neurotransmitters affects human behavior and emotions...

for example:

chocolates: eating these will stimulate endorphins and serotonin in your blood. these are neurotransmitters found high in people who are in love or happy. the sunlight also stimulate these. and eating your favorite food. or having sex. serotonin is also found in the carbohydrates that we eat which makes us drowsy or sleepy. lack of dopamine causes parkinson's dse...hehe

but i think still love cannot be controlled. love is a deep emotion. you can take the minerals of NT's and stuff but the human body will have its own way how to react. science couldn't explain everything...

peace tayo tom cruise! haha

@roneiluke: sino'ng tom cruise? LOL tom is a sicko. hehe. anyways, nice insight. yeah, science could never explain everything. i don't believe that it's an absolute fact either (the minerals and elements affecting and conditioning our emotions and feelings). but isn't it interesting how those things that compose our human bodies could affect the way we think and feel?
regarding love, i'd love to take it on the paradigm of the feeling of love and being in love which is induced and formed by our emotions and feelings of affection and attachment towards another being. so, if minerals and elements can then contribute to the change in our feelings and emotions, then somehow it affects the feeling of love. =)

Interesting insight. Yeah, it could be a possibility but I wouldn't bet my life on it. ;)

some foods contain chemicals same to the neuro transmitters our body produce, like chocolate has PEA and our bodies produce that and it actually makes us happy.
