quick long distance convo with neko:
me: feels like these are the longest days of my life. i have been feeling weak most of the time lately.
neko: weak is a state of mind. pero pwedeng umemo pag minsan. (but you can go emo sometimes)
me: yes. state of mofo mind. maybe love is also a state, no?
neko: love is not a state of mind but is a form of conditioning? what do you think? because people use love to alter beliefs, morals, your feelings, etc. there. and then if love is a form of conditioning, what state of mind does it produce? chaos? surreality?
me: conditioning, possibly. but is it not the feelings that are being conditioned? isn’t love like energy that is neither created nor destroyed? it is just there. always present, forever coinciding with hate. the feelings may vary at any point, but isn’t love always there?
neko: then hate is also always there. you cannot love if you cannot hate. yin and yang. like our soul. if there’s despair then there’s redemption. perhaps love is energy. an energy which induces a state of mind that is?
me: blank? tabu la rasa? a state mind that is initially blank and then filled up by our own morals, beliefs, self-serving biases and what have you in this universe.
neko: i don’t think it’s blank. what’s this one word for “filled up by our own morals, beliefs, self-serving biases and what have you in this universe” perhaps that’s the term for that state of mind?
love is an energy. an energy which induces a state of mind that is relative? hahaha.
me: uhm, subjective? love is subjective?
