my apologies

this goes to all the people offended by my “daughters of the immaculate material girl entry”

i am sorry for being judgmental.

i am deeply sorry for the offense i’ve caused you because of that entry. though i know that it is merely an expression of my thoughts, i should have been a more responsible blogger and considered the repercussions of my post. i admit my unprofessional act in posting the edited pictures. too bad for me it doesn’t work well to conceal the identities of the subjects.

i am sorry if the post has offended you in anyway and degree possible. the metaphor and symbols used are always subjective to the reader and i cannot blame anyone for their angst against any of my blog posts. to the people who got offended, and who have associated themselves with the post, i am sorry. i have to reiterate my unprofessionalism on that aspect. though these words may seem arbitrary to your senses, i assure you that i will do the necessary actions to make-up for my mistakes.

to clear things up, this blog and its contents does not in any way represent any company, affiliations or groups. the entries posted in this blog remains to be the sole property of the owner. any effects, implications and offense of the blog entries to you, as the reader, must be directed to the blog author.

again, i am sorry.

I'm sorry but it's not as simple as blogging your apologies when that offensive entry has already been there for quite some time now.

i still like noodles :(

It's pretty ironic how because of those cellphones and macbooks, your entry circulated faster than you could say Kim Chiu.

Funny, eh?

Grabe.. ang galing ng transistion. From bashing to apoligizing. From unprofessional blogging to professional apologies. Bago muna ang lahat may nakakalimutan ka pang tanggalin na photo.. ung lataran. Ung walang crop.
Good luck from here on out.

Hey, why did you remove the pictures you posted? Scared?

FYI, I'm a parent of one of those girls in the picture and my husband and I are both practicing lawyers. Don't worry because your foul words and irresponsible acts would definitely call for legal attention. If you think we'd do nothing about this, well, you're wrong. We defend cases of other people, and now, what makes you think that we won't for our daughter? Didn't you know that you violated the intellectual property rights? ...And not only that, but many other rights of minors.

We'll be cooperating with other parents regarding this matter.

I don't think the former was bashing. I agree it was unprofessional. But I'm guessing it's a lapse in judgment.

hmm.. actually, i'm okay na since you apologized..

it's just that, it's now hard to tell who are the ones speaking or commenting, are they really icans or are they anti-icans pretending to be icans?

personally, i feel for both parties. both, i think, have been judged unfairly. the icans, i think, had/have a right to be offended but then... mr. photo guy... a little slip cost him to get trampled. it was unprofessional and negligent to say the least, but a product, i think, of a lapse in judgment, more than of a blatant attack on an institution and its members. kudos to those who kept their reactions/comments in check. hope this gets resolved soon.

VERY irresponsible, considering especially that you're using the WWW and ICT as your tools for self-expression! bloggers who are on the photo guy's side will shut their mouth and eat their words when they become parents. ever heard about the convention on the rights of children?

If you want this materialistic world to change, then change yourself first. Live out your virtues of respect and responsibility. Learn to respect yourself and you will see other people more clearly and without bias...see how much violence your thoughts/blog have created. I sincerely hope you find your peace, and help others you have angered and saddened find theirs again. Our children desperately need to see (and read about) less sorrow, anger, and ego around them.

dude i feel sorry for you... at your age and most especially your profession you should have known better than to say this is just a lapse in judgement. thanks for the apologies, but damage has been done. whatever you say, you out the company you are working for at risk. so good luck man!

Speaking from another photographer's point-of-view, I must say what you did was completely uncalled for. As photographers, we're suppose to bring out the beauty in our subjects, not expose them for the shameful lives they've lived for. As human beings we are entitled to our opinion, but posting about it on a blog doesn't do anything but get attention, which you've obviously attracted. It's unprofessional to directly mock the subjects seeing as you're the photographer and you're the one in charge of the shoot. Whatever props they may bring, you just have to work with it, not criticize them.

As an ex-ican, I'm ashamed. What you say has some truth in it seeing as the camera shoots what it sees. These girls would talk about the latest Juicy Couture bag or Rock and Republic jeans other than how North Korea's nuclear affair. As ICA is known for it's strong religious ways, these girls rarely go to mass other than the required mass in school. I stand by my opinion that these girls are extremely intelligent young women with great potential, but they've lived in a life of luxury that it doesn't faze them. I think all ICANs would hopefully agree with me on this. Compare yourself with others, not starving children in Africa, but people who work for their tuition to school or commute rather than being driven to school. We've had it pretty good.
